Gender Determination Ultrasound Assessments

The Vancouver Island Health Authority has resumed telling parents the gender of their fetus when they attend for their routine obstetrical ultrasound examination.

For that reason, the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit will no longer be offering routine private pay Gender Determination Ultrasound Assessments to maternity patients who wish to determine the gender of their fetus.

However, this service will still be available under specific individual situations.
